UPDATE: 11/16/17: The Sheriff's Office was advised today that this issue has been resolved and AT&T service is back up and running as usual.

AT&T MOBILE CUSTOMERS IN DELAND AREA UNABLE TO CALL 911

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office has been advised that AT&T cell phone users in the DeLand area may be unable to contact 911 due to a service interruption.

While AT&T is working to resolve the issue, affected customers should have alternative means of contacting 911 in an emergency – another cell or landline phone may be the only way to make the call.

The outage reportedly affects users within an approximately mile-and-a-half radius of a tower in the DeLand area. Service should be unaffected for AT&T users in all other areas.
