VCSO STILL NEEDS PUBLIC’S HELP TO IDENTIFY WALLET THIEF

It’s just days before Christmas and we still need the public’s help to identify a woman seen on video taking a wallet that was left behind at Our Father’s Closet store in DeLand on Dec. 8.

Surveillance video from the store, located at 1645 E. New York Ave., shows the suspect picking up the wallet and walking out to her vehicle, an older model silver Chevy Blazer.  If you could help us get the word out to our community, we sure would appreciate it.

If anyone recognizes this woman, please let Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida know. Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward. Call 888-277-TIPS (8477) or use the app available at WeStopCrime dot com.

Or call the District 2 (DeLand) substation of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office: 386-943-7866.

Thanks for your help.
