ORMOND BEACH MAN FOUND DEAD AFTER RESIDENTIAL FIRE

A man was found dead Sunday evening after a fire at an Ormond Beach-area home.

The fire was reported around 6:15 p.m. Sunday at 1115 Avenue F. Firefighters extinguished the flames and found the deceased victim on the kitchen floor.

Volusia County sheriff’s detectives responded and found no suspicious circumstances at the scene, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office determined the cause of the fire was accidental.

Release of the identity of the victim is pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.
