ROBBERY AT ORMOND-AREA INTERNET CAFÉ UNDER INVESTIGATION

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at an Internet café in the Ormond Beach area.

Deputies responded to 1230 Hand Ave. around 9:30 a.m. Sunday after receiving a call reporting three suspects robbed the business, with one of the suspects pistol-whipping an employee during the incident.

The employee refused medical treatment on scene. The Sheriff’s Office investigation into the robbery is active and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
