KICKS 4 GUNS TOMORROW IN DELTONA

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is holdings its “Kicks 4 Guns” event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 16) at The Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

People who have unwanted firearms are encouraged to turn them in for a $50 gift card, no questions asked and no ID required. As a safety precaution, the event will only be open to those turning in weapons, but we can make arrangements for news media to cover the event.

Anyone who wishes to turn in a firearm is asked to place the unloaded weapon in a sealed bag or box clearly marked “Kicks 4 Guns.” A deputy will remove the gun from your vehicle.

A deputy can also come to pick up unwanted firearms from those who can’t make it to the event. Residents can call 386-943-8276 to make arrangements.
