VCSO SEEKS TRIO IN THEFT OF SHOPPER’S WALLET AT DELTONA PUBLIX
Thousands Charged Using Victim’s Stolen Credit/Debit Cards
Volusia County sheriff’s detectives need your help to identify three male suspects who stole a woman’s wallet while she shopped at a Deltona Publix and subsequently charged more than $3,000 on several of the victim’s stolen credit/debit cards.
The theft occurred Dec. 23 at 5:39 p.m. at Publix, 2100 Saxon Blvd. The victim’s wallet was stolen from inside her purse which was in her shopping cart. She didn’t discover the theft until she went to pay for her grocery items.
Soon the victim received text messages notifying her of possible fraudulent charges using the stolen cards at a nearby Walmart, 2400 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Orange City. In addition to credit/debit cards, the victim’s wallet also contained various ID cards, cash and several gift cards.
Please help us identify the suspects shown in the attached photos that came from store surveillance video.
