Detectives have arrested 2 individuals following a shooting of a vehicle in Deltona late Tuesday night. The incident started with an argument on Facebook.
Deputies responded to the shooting on Hemingway Drive around 11:50 p.m. The victim reported she drove there earlier in the night to have a face-to-face conversation with a woman she'd been arguing with on Facebook. On arrival, she said she saw two people standing in the driveway, both holding handguns. No words were exchanged, but the victim said she saw each subject raise an arm and fire at her car. She saw muzzle flashes, heard gunshots and her rear window shattered. After leaving the scene, she also discovered her front passenger-side tire was flat.
After several hours of P.A. announcements, around 5:30 a.m., 29-year-old Ines Jonjic, her children, and 15-year-old babysitter Elijah Woodberry came out of the house and surrendered to deputies on scene.
Two different types of shell casings were found in the garage. Jonjic admitted to shooting at the vehicle, and her firearm was recovered from her bedroom. Woodberry did not admit to firing, and a second gun was not located.
Jonjic and Woodberry were each charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Woodberry was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a delinquent, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and trafficking in cocaine after detectives found bags of drugs in a backpack in a bedroom he was in. He was also charged with violation of probation for breaking his curfew stemming from a prior arrest.
Jonjic is also facing additional charges after detectives recovered bags of marijuana, amphetamines and other pills from her residence and vehicles. Her other charges are possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a park, possession of Schedule II and IV controlled substances, possession of a new legend drug (2 counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
