Motorcyclist killed in Deltona crash

Date Added: February 09, 2026 8:30 am

Sad news to report from this weekend: A Deltona motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a crash outside Dewey Boster Park.

Deputies responded to the crash at 1190 Saxon Boulevard around noon Sunday. The motorcyclist, a 63-year-old Deltona man, was pronounced deceased on scene. The other vehicle involved in the crash, a 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, was still on scene, and the driver cooperated with the investigation.

The initial crash investigation indicates the Tahoe was turning left into Dewey Boster Park when the oncoming 2002 Moto Guzzi motorcycle crashed into it, ejecting the rider.

The driver of the Tahoe did not show any signs of impairment. A surveillance camera in the area captured footage that suggested the motorcycle's speed may have been a factor in the crash. A thorough crash investigation is continuing.
