Investigator Seeking Help Identifying Burglary Suspect

Sheriff’s investigators are asking for help identifying a man who burglarized an occupied Deltona home last month and stole about $600 in tools.

The burglary occurred around 5 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at a house on Fort Smith Boulevard. The suspect arrived on a bright yellow scooter with a white cooler strapped to a large rack on the back. The scooter had an orange license plate attached, possibly a Florida transporter tag.

The suspect, a white male with dark hair and a mustache/goatee, is believed to be about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Anyone who recognizes this suspect or has any information about this incident is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 386-860-7030 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida, toll-free, at 888-277-TIPS. You can also text your tip by texting TIP231 plus your message to CRIMES. Anyone who provides information to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and can qualify for a reward of up to $5,000.
