12 Arrested During Two-Day Prostitution Operation

12 ARRESTED DURING TWO-DAY PROSTITUTION OPERATION

One defendant called his arrest the worst mistake of his life. Another told a female undercover officer posing as a prostitute that he was a “squirrel looking for a nut,” then offered to loan her $30 but said that she wouldn’t have to pay it back.

It was all part of a multi-agency sting operation that resulted in the arrest of four accused prostitutes and eight men soliciting for their services. The two-day operation was conducted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force. Police departments in Daytona Beach, Holly Hill, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond Beach and South Daytona also participated.

The operation kicked off on Wednesday, targeting prostitution activity along Daytona Beach’s Ridgewood Avenue corridor. On Wednesday, undercover agents posed as customers and arrested four women who offered sexual services for money. All were charged with prostitution. For two of the defendants, the charge was elevated to a felony because of their prior prostitution arrests -- one of them, at least eight times. On Thursday, the operation switched gears and undercover agents this time posed as prostitutes. A total of eight men were arrested, including a 74-year-old man who offered an undercover agent $15 for oral sex. The female defendants charged with prostitution were as follows:

• Nicole Desantis, 44 (DOB: 12/30/72), Daytona Beach
• Ashley Narehood, 31 (DOB: 10/11/85), transient
• Natasha Smith, 31 (DOB: 12/17/85), South Daytona
• Brenda Usher, 43 (DOB: 7/19/93), Daytona Beach. (Added charge: possession of drug paraphernalia)

The male defendants were all charged under Florida’s prostitution statute with solicit, induce, entice, or procure another to commit prostitution, lewdness, or assignation. Those defendants are as follows:

• Patrick Chapman, 58 (DOB: 7/16/58), Port Orange
• Alfonso Cirrito, 74 (DOB: 7/23/42), Ormond Beach
• Bradley Harold, 29 (DOB: 2/26/87), Daytona Beach
• Marvin Harris, 67 (DOB: 8/30/49), Daytona Beach
• Kambiz Khalaji, 49 (DOB: 3/1/67), Ormond Beach
• Christopher Milazzo, 48 (DOB: 11/21/68), Edgewater
• Lawrence Styger, 64 (DOB: 1/16/53), Port Orange
• Rickey Walker, 54 (DOB: 11/24/62), DeLand (Added charge: parole violation associated with a prior conviction for burglary with an assault)
