DEPUTIES TO HOST COFFEE WITH A COP WEDNESDAY IN DEBARY

Coffee With A Cop is coming to DeBary on Wednesday. And as usual, there won’t be any agenda or speeches -- just an opportunity for residents to ask questions, voice concerns and get to the know the Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies in their neighborhood.

Part of a national initiative, the Coffee With A Cop program is designed to maintain open lines of communication with the community and foster a greater understanding between the citizens and police. For law enforcement, it’s a way to connect with the community in an informal setting, answer questions and concerns and hear first-hand from residents about public safety issues. And for the public, it’s an opportunity to meet face-to-face with law enforcement officers and discuss ways to work together to make a difference and help keep the community safe. The details for Wednesday’s event are as follows:

Time:              8 a.m.-10 a.m.
Location:        Dunkin’ Donuts, 54 N. Charles R. Beall Blvd.
