SILVER ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING 79-YEAR-OLD DEBARY WOMAN

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 79-year-old DeBary woman who was last seen by her family Saturday evening.

A Silver Alert was issued this morning after Arlene Baron’s family reported her missing. Baron was last seen around 8 p.m. Saturday, wearing a maroon shirt and grey shorts. She’s white, with brown eyes and salt and pepper hair, about 5 feet, 2 inches tall. She may be wearing glasses.

Baron is believed to be driving her grey 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup with a camper shell on the bed. The tag number is J43-7WE. Detectives believe she may be in the Tallahassee area.

Baron suffers from dementia and may be confused. She takes several prescribed medications for health issues, but she left her medicine behind at her home on Magnolia Drive.

Anyone who sees Ms. Baron or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Sheriff’s Office at 386-736-5999.
