SILVER ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING 87-YEAR-OLD DELTONA MAN

A Silver Alert has been issued for an 87-year-old man from Deltona who left home Wednesday morning and is believed to have traveled to Georgia.

Henry Mantle, last seen in the area of the 900 block of Lovington Drive in Deltona, was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and a blue and white jacket when he left home around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was traveling in a brown 2014 Honda Civic with Florida tag ECA-W66.

Mantle is believed to have checked in at a hotel in Brunswick, Ga., but he was no longer present when an attempt was made to contact him there. Because he has family in the New York and New Jersey areas, Mantle may be headed that way.

Mantle is described as a 5’8”, 140-pound white male with gray hair and blue eyes. He may be wearing glasses, and may exhibit some signs of confusion or disorientation.

Anyone with information about Mantle’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or call the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office at 386-736-5999. Current FDLE Silver Alerts are viewable here: https://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/CurrentSilverAlerts.asp
