STILL NO SIGNS OF EDGEWATER MAN MISSING FOR A MONTH

Volusia County sheriff’s detectives are continuing to investigate the missing-person case of Stephen “Steve” Paoletti of Edgewater, who was reported missing June 3.

Paoletti was reported missing by a friend who hadn’t talked to him for several days—which was unusual, because they typically spoke daily.

While there were no signs of foul play at Paoletti’s last known residence (1795 Hideaway Lane in Edgewater), and no indication Paoletti was suicidal, in poor health or otherwise endangered, his extended absence and lack of contact with anyone who knows him is concerning.

He is described as a 6 foot tall white male with brown eyes and brown hair, an athletic build and glasses. He had no tattoos or piercings at last sight, but he has a small scar on his forehead. He may speak with a slight stutter.

Detectives have made several attempts to track down Paoletti using various investigative means to no avail. Anyone who has seen him or has any information about his potential whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 911 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 888-277-TIPS or via the app available at westopcrime.com. Crime Stoppers tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a reward of up to $5,000.
