DELTONA BICYCLIST, 77, DIES OF INJURIES FROM CRASH

A Deltona man who was seriously injured Tuesday after he crashed while riding a bicycle has died of his injuries.

Raymond Bath, 77, was riding on a motorized bicycle that was being towed by a rope pulled by a Ford F150 driven by his fiancé, Suzette Huber, 66.

The two were traveling east on Saxon Boulevard about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to take the bicycle to be repaired. As the truck slowed to turn onto Cranbrook Avenue, Bath was ejected from the bicycle and landed on the road, causing numerous injuries including a head injury.  He was not wearing a helmet.

Bath was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital where he succumbed from his injuries Wednesday about 6 p.m. Neither speed nor impairment were factors in the crash;  no charges are expected.
