DEPUTIES SEARCH FOR 2 SUSPECTS IN STRONG-ARM ROBBERY AT DELTONA PUBLIX

A woman loading groceries into her car at a Deltona Publix, 2100 Saxon Blvd., just before 6 p.m. Monday became the victim of a strong-arm robbery as a man approached her, shoved her and stole her purse.

The woman told deputies she saw a passenger car park next to her vehicle with two male suspects inside. One male suddenly jumped out of the vehicle, shoved her aside and took her purse, which contained credit cards, her driver’s license, cash and her iPhone. The victim saw the vehicle moving and the suspect eventually jumped into it, leaving the scene.

The woman immediately called law enforcement. Multiple sheriff’s deputies and the sheriff’s Air 1 helicopter responded to search for the vehicle. After an extensive search, the suspects were unable to be located.
