DROWNING CLAIMS LIFE OF 3-YEAR-OLD BOY IN DELTONA

A 3-year-old boy lost his life this weekend when he drowned in a backyard pool in Deltona.

The victim, Connor Smith, was found unconscious at the bottom of an above-ground pool at 1472 Elkcam Blvd., Deltona, around 3:46 p.m. Saturday. First responders were unable to revive him.

No charges are anticipated in what appears to have been a tragic accident.
