VCSO SEEKS 2 SUSPECTS IN DAYTONA ARMED ROBBERY
Daytona Beach Police Called to Similar Incident 30 Minutes Later

Two masked suspects held a Daytona Beach convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Saturday before stealing money from the cash register. Less than 30 minutes later, a similar incident occurred a few miles away.

The suspects match the descriptions in both robberies.

The first robbery occurred at 4:35 a.m. at the BP gas station, 1049 Derbyshire Road, Daytona Beach. Both suspects were described as black males wearing black hoodies. One suspect was described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a white and black bandanna covering his face, and black pants. The second suspect was 6 feet tall, wearing a navy blue bandanna covering his face, and white and black pants.

The suspect wearing a black and white bandanna held a gun to the clerk’s neck and pushed him toward the back of the store where the cash register was located. His accomplice opened the register and took the cash. Both males fled the scene on foot, heading in different directions.

Just after 5 a.m. Saturday, the second armed robbery occurred at Stop & Save, 1096 Mason Ave., where two male suspects robbed the store using a gun. Daytona Beach police are investigating that incident.
