SILVER ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING PIERSON MAN, 77

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Pierson man who is believed to have traveled outside Volusia County.

William Seemann, 77, left his home on Shell Harbor Road yesterday afternoon for a doctor’s appointment in DeLand. He never made it to the appointment and never returned home. He was last seen in the St. Augustine area, where he made contact with St. Augustine Police on the side of the road shortly before 1 a.m. today. Later this morning, records indicate he withdrew money from a bank in Callahan (Nassau County), near the Georgia state line.

Mr. Seemann was last seen wearing a gray or brown shirt, blue jeans and brown moccasin shoes. He may be traveling in a gray 2009 Dodge Ram truck with Florida tag KYTT50. The truck may have a Florida Gator plate on the front bumper, an American flag sticker and Sunoco sticker on the rear window, and damage on the rear driver’s side.

Anyone with information about Mr. Seemann’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
