Detectives Investigating Fatal Shooting in DeLeon Springs

Volusia Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a shooting incident in DeLeon Springs on Monday night that killed a 52-year-old man.

Deputies responded to the incident on Tomoka Woods Parkway, DeLeon Springs, around 9:15 p.m. Monday. According to information gathered during the initial investigation, the fatal gunshot occurred during a series of physical altercations stemming from a domestic dispute. 

The 52-year-old male subject was deceased on scene when deputies arrived.

An active investigation into the circumstances of the shooting is continuing, and no charges have been filed at time of this post.
