Detectives Investigating Fight Where 15-Year-Old Was Stabbed In Deltona

CASE UPDATE: Detectives have developed probable cause to charge 13-year-old Haiden Beauvais with principal to aggravated battery in Wednesday’s stabbing during a fight in Deltona. Detectives established that Haiden planned and orchestrated the attack. He has been taken into custody without incident. The investigation is continuing.

Volusia sheriff’s detectives are investigating a fight in Deltona on Wednesday afternoon that left a juvenile victim injured with several stab wounds.

The 15-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital where he received staples and stitches for his injuries.

The incident was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the area of Courtland Boulevard and Hanford Drive. A deputy in the area heard the call via Live 911 and was on scene in 2 minutes, applying a bandage to slow the victim’s bleeding.

Detectives are interviewing parties with knowledge of the incident and working to positively identify multiple subjects involved.

According to information gathered in the initial investigation, one or more of the suspects were known to the victim and reportedly jumped him due to a prior dispute.
