Fraudulent boat builder arrested again for scamming customers

ARRESTED AGAIN: Fraudulent boat builder Jeffrey Love, 56, Deltona, is back in custody on charges of fraud and grand theft after scamming 5 customers out of more than $200,000.

A 9-month VSO investigation identified similar stories from all 5 victims: Each hired Love to build them a custom airboat, each paid him thousands, and each got nothing in return but excuses and stall tactics.

Love was already on felony probation from a previous arrest for a nearly identical scam.

In addition to his new charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud, Love was charged with violation of probation and driving with a suspended license. He's in the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond and the investigation is continuing in an effort to recover any of the victims' money to the extent possible.
