Operation RoadRunner: 13 arrested in drug trafficking ring

A drug trafficking ring responsible for dealing fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine throughout Central Florida was dismantled in a series of raids and arrests stemming from a monthslong multi-jurisdictional investigation.
A total of 13 defendants were rounded up during Operation RoadRunner, a two-phase operation, where detectives and agents fanned out across the county with arrest warrants. Those remaining will be arrested in the hours and days to come.
Evidence seized during the investigation included 649.8 grams of methamphetamine, 662.3 grams of fentanyl, 29 grams of cocaine, six guns (1 stolen), nearly $50,000 in cash, and two vehicles.
The investigation was led by the Volusia Bureau of Investigation (VBI) with the assistance of the East Volusia Narcotics Task Force, West Volusia Narcotics Task Force, Deltona Narcotics Enforcement Team and SWAT teams. Partners included FBI, HSI and DEA.
