Port Orange man arrested in shooting that injured 1

SHOOTING ARREST: Jeffrey Crabtree, 38, Port Orange, was arrested early Saturday after he shot a man in the leg during an altercation at 2306 Old Samsula Road.

Deputies responded to the shooting shortly after midnight. The adult male victim had one gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Crabtree is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked at the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond.
