Video: 15-Year-Old Latest Charged In After-School Stabbing; Mom Also Arrested

CASE UPDATE: Aiden White, 15, has been arrested in the May 14 jumping and stabbing of another student walking home from school in Deltona. Aiden’s mom Kayla Cobb, 33, has also been arrested for lying to detectives during the investigation.

Detectives used cell phone data and other evidence to tie Aiden to the attack. Mom provided a false alibi for him that was proven to be a lie.

Previously arrested in this case was 13-year-old Haiden Beauvais, who was charged on May 15 with principal to aggravated battery. Detectives established that Haiden planned and orchestrated the attack.

Volusia sheriff’s detectives are investigating a fight in Deltona on Wednesday afternoon that left a juvenile victim injured with several stab wounds.

The 15-year-old male victim was transported to an area hospital where he received staples and stitches for his injuries.

The incident was reported at 3:39 p.m. in the area of Courtland Boulevard and Hanford Drive. A deputy in the area heard the call via Live 911 and was on scene in 2 minutes, applying a bandage to slow the victim’s bleeding.

Detectives are interviewing parties with knowledge of the incident and working to positively identify multiple subjects involved.

According to information gathered in the initial investigation, one or more of the suspects were known to the victim and reportedly jumped him due to a prior dispute.
