D1 was observed suspiciously walking around a residence and possibly attempting to make entry. Deputies made contact with V1, who advised D1 utilized his hose to drink water, then broke the water spigot. Deputies located D1 a short distance from the LOI and placed him under arrest. D1 also had an outstanding warrant out of Colorado for burglary and motor vehicle theft.

Financial Crimes Unit Notified 

V1 was having computer troubles at which time he located Applemix.com and contacted them via telephone. A short time later, V1 received a call from a supervisor with the company, "Eric Wilson." "Eric Wilson" told V1 his bank accounts had been hacked and asked V1 if he had any cash on hand, which V1 stated he had $18,612. V1 was then instructed to package the money in a taped shoebox and meet with a courier named "Oscar" in the Ormond Beach area; however, "Oscar" never showed up. A short time later, "Eric Wilson" notified V1 that a different courier would meet V1 outside of his condo. V1 explained that shortly after the phone call, a black male arrived in a black four-door Hyundai sedan (unknown tag) and V1 provided the black male with the money. Deputies canvassed the area for surveillance cameras but have been unable to locate any that captured the incident or suspect vehicle.
