**DV Simple Battery**

V1 and S1 reside together as a family unit, having multiple children in common.  On this day, V1 and D1 entered into a verbal altercation stemming from accusations of adultery.  D1 became angry, entered the home's living room and began shouting at his 11-year-old stepdaughter, O1, in reference to a spilled cup.  V1 states she entered the living room and observed S1 shouting at the child while holding a metal cup.  She advised she stepped in between the pair when S1 grabbed V1 and shoved her onto a table.  Moments later, S1 fled the residence in an unknown direction.  

V1 sustained a minor laceration under her eye and redness around her neck.  She declined any medical attention on scene.  None of the children were injured.  Photos of V1 and the scene were taken and later uploaded into evidence.  

Deputies canvassed the area in an attempt to locate S1, yielding negative results.  A pass-on affidavit was completed. S1 is charged with DV Simple Battery. Director Quann was notified.

V1 and D1 are boyfriend/girlfriend and have children in common.  A verbal altercation turned physical when D1 grabbed V1's shirt and pushed him (V1) against his will.  D1 was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.
