V1 and D1 were involved in an argument over money going missing. The encounter turned physical when D1 placed V1 in a headlock. The incident was witnessed by W1 who called law enforcement for assistance. V1 tried covering for D1 stating D1 was attempting to catch V1 while almost falling down. Digital photographs were collected and all necessary DV paperwork was completed. D1 was arrested and transported to jail. Case Status: CBA.

V1 was reported to have taken several edibles prior to having a paranoid episode.  R1, V1's roommate attempted to calm V1 down which later resulted in V1 grabbing a firearm, fleeing outside, and shooting himself in the head. R1 witnessed the event and called 9-1-1. V1 was transported to Lake Monroe HCA hospital in Sanford.  Evidence on scene supported R1's accounts.  ISS was notified and responded along with Crime Scene.

V1 and D1 have a child together and live together as a single-family unit.  V1 and D1 had a verbal argument about infidelity again, which turned physical when D1 grabbed V1's collar and tearing his shirt.  V1 scratched D1 on his person causing V1 to attempt to flee the scene.  D1 then threatened to throw a brick at V1 while he was driving away.  D1 was charged accordingly.

V1 was taking D1 to Stewart Marchman for detox treatment; however, D1 decided he no longer wanted to go.  During an argument in the parking lot of the motel D1 pushed V1 and fled.  D1 was located a short time later and charged accordingly.

  On 05/23/2026, R1 (Store Manager) found the rear storage door open. R1 reviewed video footage from 05/22/26 and saw a B/M wearing a black basketball shirt, black shirt, and red sunglasses pushing a shopping cart full of items out the rear storage door. R1 also saw a B/F in a white tank top, gold shorts, and a pink bonnet with the B/M. Both grabbed items and placed them in the cart. Moments later, the B/M left the store, passing all points of sale with the cart full of items. Total value of items taken $110.17. Bulleting completed of the suspects.

D1, an unknown male, arrived at the LOI and repeatedly attempted to enter the occupied residence by aggressively manipulating multiple exterior door handles, striking the doors, and moving between separate access points. While attempting to make entry D1 was heard screaming at the occupants inside placing them in reasonable fear. V1 confronted D1 outside the residence, at which time D1 threatened to kill V1 and his family while aggressively advancing toward him. Fearing D1 would attack him, V1 discharged a warning shot from his handgun into the ground, which caused D1 to flee the area. Surveillance footage captured D1 repeatedly attempting to gain entry into the occupied dwelling. Deputies later located D1 nearby, where he was positively identified during a show-up procedure and taken into custody.

V1 and D1's relationship was domestic in nature.  V1 advised she was involved in a verbal argument with D1 while traveling from Deland to Pierson. During the argument D1 pulled V1's hair and when V1 attempted to contact law enforcement, D1 forcibly snatched the cellphone from her hand preventing her from contacting emergency services. Post Miranda, D1 admitted to the incident, was arrested, and charged accordingly.
