On 4-20-2025, V-1 and S-1 were at V-1's residence in Deland when they began having sex. After several minutes, V-1 told S-1 to stop; however, he refused and continued. S-1 fell asleep shortly thereafter. Once he awoke the following morning, V-1 drove him to a local bus stop. V-1 then drove herself to Advent Health Deland. V-1 sustained some minor bruising to her legs as a result. The Watch Commander and CID were notified. CID responded and assumed the investigation.

Deputies responded to the area of I-4/472 regarding a stolen vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle, which failed to stop and fled northbound on 472 toward Deland. Deputies successfully deployed stop sticks, at which point the driver bailed from the vehicle into a wooded lot. Numerous deputies, including Air One and K9, responded where the defendant was able to be successfully located and taken into custody.
