Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

V1 pulled next to a gas pump as S1 was approaching the same gas pump. S1 became upset with V1 where they engaged in a verbal altercation. V1 continued to engage S1 in a verbal altercation and at one-point V1 was observed on camera approaching S1. A minor physical altercation ensued where S1 pulled a handgun on V1. S1 then left the gas station in an unknown direction of travel. Deputies searched the surrounding areas and were unable to located S1. Video of the incident was obtained. No witnesses. V1 and D1, who are a long-time co-habitant and are romantically involved, were in a verbal altercation that turned physical. D1 threw a glass vase at V1 while he was laying on their bed. W1 witnessed the incident. V1 did not require or request medical treatment. D1 was arrested for DV Simple Battery. Case is CBA.

Shoplifting

S1 entered the 711 Gas Station/Store and stole a $0.67 fountain drunk. W1, who is a store employee, witnessed S1 drink about half of the drink and then threw it out. D1 was contacted in front of the store where he refused to pay. S1 then fled in an unknown direction of travel. A photo lineup was generated where S1 was not identified. No video surveillance was obtained. Case Status: Active.

V1, V2 and D1 reside together as a family unit. V1 was cooking dinner when D1 came up behind him and struck him in the back. D1 then started to go towards V2 when her so stepped in between them, however D1 grabbed V2's wrist and start to pull and twist. V2 was able to pull away and then left the residence. Deputies determined D1 to be the primary aggressor and found probable cause for simple battery and battery on a person over 65 years or older. D1 was transported to the VCBJ upon the completion of paperwork.

DCF responded to D1's residence the previous day for a battery complaint reported by V1. After DCF left, D1 allegedly grabbed V1's shoulder, causing marks, questioned him about the report, and struck him in the mouth. The next day, V1 reported the incident at school. DCF and deputies made contact with both parties, and following an investigation, D1 was charged with child abuse and transported to VCBJ.
