T/L 12/16 @ 2206 hours. V1 reported a package containing stove parts was stolen from her front porch while she was not home. Ring camera footage showed two male suspects committing the theft. K9 Deputy Matusick deployed her K9, successfully tracking the suspects' path to a location where opened packages and V1's stolen box were found. NC4 bulletin issued; oncoming shifts notified.

V1 and D1 are husband and wife. A verbal argument began over D1 being depressed over the loss of their child three years ago. D1 entered their departed child's room and began taking down pictures. V1 entered the room and D1 threw a horse statue at him, striking his leg. This was all captured on video that V1 had recording during the incident. D1 was charged accordingly.

**Juvenile**

Four juveniles were in a Snapchat group message two days ago. In the conversation, S1 made statements that he would "merk" V1 and anyone else who sided with her in defense of his girlfriend, who was one of the four in the group. Merk is common slang for kill. S1 also sent a picture of a firearm on his lap, which was quickly deleted from Snapchat. One screenshot was able to be saved and provided to deputies for the investigation. Due to some of the involved parties residing in District 2, D2 units assisted in interviewing S1 and his girlfriend. S1 denied the accounts belonging to him and denied any involvement. Director Quann was notified. The BTU also assisted in sending exigent requests to Snapchat and Google.

Deputies responded to 1119 3rd St regarding a suspicious person lying in the yard. Contact was made with Greg Salvatore (D1), who appeared highly intoxicated and was removed from the property without incident. Later, at 1221 3rd St, Greg reportedly armed himself with a kitchen knife and made suicidal and threatening statements toward another person. Greg was detained without further incident and had a superficial chest wound. No parties wished to pursue charges, though multiple witnesses confirmed Greg had pushed and slapped (V1). A knife was recovered and submitted as evidence, and video footage corroborating the incident was uploaded. Greg has a prior battery conviction and an active injunction. He was transported to Volusia County Branch Jail. Case documented under VSO case number 25-25170.

***Criminal Mischief to a Vehicle***CBA by Patrol***

V1 was parking his vehicle in a handicap spot at the neighborhood Walmart when D1 attempted to take the same parking space. After V1 got out of his vehicle, D1 exited his own and approached V1, initiating a verbal argument. D1 then left the scene and parked in a different spot. Minutes later, video surveillance showed D1 walking toward V1's vehicle and keying the passenger side, causing $2,500 worth of damage. D1 was identified through the video surveillance and investigative resources. When deputies made contact with D1, he admitted to keying the vehicle after being read his Miranda rights. D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ.
