D1 threatened to stab V1 through text messages, specifically stating that he would stab V1 in the rib cage. Deputies contacted D1, who admitted to sending the threats. He claimed that he sent the threats in response to being threatened himself, but he did not provide Deputies with any evidence of threats made by the other party. As a result, D1 was arrested for making written threats and was transported to VCBJ.

V1 was engaged in a verbal altercation with D1 when D1 suddenly began striking V1. The altercation continued to the point V1 was in fear for his safety and subdued D1 temporarily so he could leave the scene. No injuries occurred during the incident. Director Quann was made aware of the incident.

This entry supplements incidents from 01/08/2026 and 01/09/2026. On 01/09/2026, a stolen dirt bike was recovered after a witness observed a male abandon it in the area. On 01/10/2026, V1 identified the recovered dirt bike as belonging to her son, V2, after seeing a VSO social media post. V1 confirmed the dirt bike was missing from the attached carport of her occupied residence. Ownership was established through photographs and purchase information. The dirt bike value was estimated at $1,500-$2,000. Evidence was processed. Case active.

A suspect arrived at the residence earlier today and attempted to gain access. The attempt was unsuccesful. Deputies observed obvious signs of damage to the front door. Case active.

V1 was fraudulently scammed out of $7,000 by a male impersonating Volusia Sheriff's Office Deputy. V1 was instructed to deposit the money into a Bitcoin ATM at the Debary Food Mart, Debary. FCU was notified of the incident.

R1 reported her mother's wedding band as stolen dating possibly back to October. R1 had not previously reported it due to believing it would turn up eventually since V1 is elderly. R1 was notified of the thefts by the executive director at 838 Signature Drive and believes V1 may be a victim of a similar crime. CID is aware of this possibly being related to their cases.

V1 and D1 reside together as a family unit. D1 was cooking dinner when one of his toys got tossed onto the food and fell. V1 was told not to touch the toy once it fell to the floor but didn't listen. D1 then kicked V1 in the chest which left a large mark. Deputies responded and deemed D1 to be the primary aggressor. D1 was tranported to the VCBJ.
