V1, a tow truck operator for C&S Towing, was contracted by the neighborhood HOA to remove D1's vehicle, which was parked in the grass right-of-way in violation of HOA rules. As V1 was securing the vehicle to the tow truck, D1 confronted him and attempted to drive the vehicle away while it remained connected to the tow truck but was unsuccessful. During the incident, V1 began recording D1's actions on his cellphone. D1 became irate and slapped the cellphone out of V1's hand, at which point a physical altercation ensued. No injuries were reported by either party. V1 advised he wished to pursue charges. D1 was placed under arrest and transported to VCBJ.

V1 reported that a subject attempted to remove a e-bicycle that was locked to his vehicle while it was parked under the attached car port of the residence. Surveillance video captures the subject in the act but was thwarted due to the surveillance system alarms sounding. Intel bulletin was completed with the subject captured in the video. Latent prints were recovered from the bicycle.

Deputies responded to a reported theft in which V1 discovered cash missing from a wooden box in her closet, with only a few hundred dollars remaining. Her juvenile daughter, admitted to previously taking $200 and showing the money on FaceTime, but denied taking the missing amount. Deputies searched the residence, found no signs of forced entry, collected the wooden box for processing, and obtained elimination prints, Deputies were unable to contact V1's boyfriend, who also had access to the room.

***Retail Theft***

S1 entered the store, interacted with an employee who showed two iPhones (17 Pro and Model E), and then went to the back, leaving the phones unattended. S1 took the phones and exited the store. The employee returned, noticed S1 fleeing, and discovered the iPhones were missing. The IT department will later provide video surveillance, along with still images of the suspect. Deputies will create a bulletin to identify S1 and share it with other districts. Total value stolen was $1800.00. Both Iphones were entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen. S1 is possibly linked to other thefts at Metro by T-Mobile in Sanford and Oveido. No ID on S1 at this time.

D1 entered the business and ate a bag of peanuts (value $1.99) and did not pay for them. D1 advised he did not see the clerk, R1, at the register so he made the decision to leave the store without paying. R1 alerted a Deputy that was in the parking lot. The Deputy also witnessed D1 throw the empty package of peanuts on the counter. Deputies conducted an investigative stop on D1's vehicle. Post Miranda, D1 admitted to the offense. D1's juvenile passenger D2 was identified and was discovered to be on probation in Broward County. D2 had a stipulation of not leaving his county. D1 was arrested for petit theft and transported to VCBJ. D2 was arrested for On-view VOP and transported to the VFRC. Director Quann was notified of the incident.
