V1 and D1 reside together as a family unit. Investigation determined a verbal dispute between V1 and D1 escalated into mutual physical contact. D1 was identified as the primary aggressor after admitting to striking V1 in the head. There were no visible injuries; both parties refused medical treatment. Two juveniles were present but did not witness the incident. D1 was transported to VCBJ. Director Quann was notified of the incident.

T/L- 04/25/2026, b/w 1000 and 1630 hours.  V1 advised that on 04/25/2026, b/w 1000 and 1630 hours, an unknown suspect unlawfully entered the open garage of the LOI and stole their (V1's) Stag Arms AR-15.  V1 stated the rifle was in a case (which is also missing) and the items were located amongst boxes (which had been moved) adjacent to the back wall of the garage.  V1's wife was home all day and claimed to have not heard anything suspicious.  There are no witnesses, no physical evidence left behind by a suspect, and no video surveillance to aid in the investigation.  Also, V1 was unable to provide a serial number for the firearm; therefore, it could not be entered into the system as missing.

V1 and D1 have a child in common.  A verbal altercation turned physical when D1 slapped V1 in the face against her (V1's) will.  D1 was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.
