Pass-Along Affidavit/DV

V1 and S1 reside together as a family unit and have a child in common. V1 and S1 were in a verbal altercation when it turned physical when S1 struck, strangled, and pushed V1. V1 attempted to call 911 but S1 took the phone from V1 and refused to let her leave the residence. V1 was able to eventually escape the apartment and flagged down a neighbor who called on behalf of her. V1 refused all medical treatment but had multiple injuries to sustain her allegations. S1 fled prior to law enforcement arrival and was unable to be located. Deputies determined S1 was the primary aggressor and a pass-along affidavit was completed for false imprisonment, battery, battery by strangulation, and deprivation of contacting 911.

V1 was victimized out of money earlier this year and now has been contacted by S1 who mentioned wanting to help return money. S1 contacted V1 and requested $10,000 for his services, which V1 said he did not have. S1 then sent V1 a check for $9,800 for V1 to deposit, then convert to digital currency which he did. Once done, V1 sent a check to S1 via USPS. Case active.

V1 was trying to access her online bank account when a pop-up came onto her screen. V1 clicked the support link which directed her to a male suspect who eventually gained access to her computer entirely. V1 was then directed to call the support line, which she did and made contact with another suspect. V1 eventually withdrew $34,380 from her bank account, in multiple transactions, and deposited money into bitcoin machines.

V1 and S1 share a child together. They were involved in a verbal argument regarding child custody. During this argument, S1 threatened V1 via text messages, stating he would kill her. V1 expressed that S1 recently purchased a firearm, which has made her fearful for her safety. Additionally, S1 began sending explicit videos to V1's family members and friends. Deputies attempted to contact S1 but were unable to reach him. Case active.

V1 is an employee who parked his vehicle in the employee parking area located at the back of the business. He reported that when he arrived for work, he left the vehicle unlocked. After finishing his shift, V1 returned to his vehicle and discovered that his Louis Vuitton wallet, along with U.S. currency, was missing. Nothing else was taken from the vehicle. Case active.

K9 Deputy Matusick deployed her K9, successfully tracking the suspects' path to a location where opened packages and V1's stolen box were found. NC4 bulletin issued; oncoming shifts notified.
