V1 reported she was in a verbal argument with her teenage son, D1, during dinner. According to V1, D1 became upset and struck her in the face with a potato.

Deputies observed redness on the side of V1's face, along with pieces of potato which were stuck to her neck. D1 was taken into custody.

D1 is on probation for battery and his probation was violated on sight. (24-19815). D1 was transported to DJJ.

D1 was in a verbal altercation with his juvenile daughters, V1 and V2. D1 escalated the altercation by arming himself with a knife and telling V2 to kill herself like she had threatened to.

D1 then grabbed V1's backpack from her back and used the knife to cut both the shoulder straps and a decorative item from the bag.

D1 also made threats to stab V1 and V2.  V1 and V2 were in fear of being stabbed during the entirety of the incident and did not feel safe around D1, due to his words and actions.

D1 was arrested and transported to VCBJ. DCF was on scene.
