V1 and D1 are married, but living separate after D1 was arrested for a prior DV incident.  V1 has a pre-trial no contact order against D1.  D1 violated the order by attempting 3rd party contact.  D1 was arrested and taken to VCBJ.

***POSSIBLE CIVIL ISSUE***

T/L- 06/17/2026.  R1 hired O1 to do a remodel job at the LOI.  In May 2026, R1 gave O1 a $9,000 deposit for materials and there was no end date specified when the job was to be completed.  O1 has been working on the job (although slowly according to R1).  R1 and O1 had a falling out on 06/17 where O1 left the job site and took some flooring epoxy with him (unknown value).  Given the totality of facts and circumstances, this might be a civil issue.

***DEATH INVESTIGATION***

T/L- 06/17/2026.  The decedent, who is believed to be 61 years old and the sole occupant of the LOI (which was a 5th wheel travel trailer) was found deceased inside of the residence as a result of it (the 5th wheel) catching on fire.  The decedent had sustained significant burns to most of the body; however, will still be identifiable through fingerprints.  The Eastside Detective Unit and CSU responded to aid in the investigation.  It was learned that the probable decedent was in poor health, had mobility issues, and was known to fall asleep smoking cigarettes.  The State Fire Marshal responded to aid in the investigation and advised there was nothing outwardly suspicious about the scene.  The ME took jurisdiction and the probable NOK (who provided further identifiable information about the decedent that detectives were able to verify on scene) was notified of the event.

T/L- 06/15/2026.  All parties involved know each other and are acquaintances.  A verbal altercation over a bicycle turned physical when D1 pulled a flare gun on V1 in a threatening manner.  V1 subsequently tackled D1 and once on the ground, D1 began hitting V1 in the head with what has been described as a "collapsable baton."  S1 then punched V1 while they (V1) were on the ground and pushed V2.  Both D1 and S1 fled the scene prior to LEO arrival.  V1 and V2 wished to pursue criminal charges for all applicable offenses so 707s were completed.  Deputies subsequently located D1 and they were taken into custody.  A pass along 707 for S1 (reference Simple Battery) is in the D3S pass along book should she (S1) be located in a timely manner.
