D1 and V1 were hanging out at the Newport Sound Place Apartments when an altercation took place between them involving a firearm. V1 drove back home without D1 and D1 texted V1 asking him where he was. D1 walked to V1's residence and began firing the pistol towards him. One of the rounds struck a parked car in the driveway. D1 fled the scene on foot, and a perimeter was established within minutes by NSBPD & VSO. VSO K9 deployed however was not able to detect anyone. D1 was located shortly after at the Newport Sound Apartments and was taken into custody.

T/L- 02/16/2026 @ 1203 hours.  An unknown black female (described below) entered the store and subsequently took a pack of lighters (worth a total of $5.75) without paying for them.  The unknown suspect exited the store and then just disappeared.  A still photograph and video of the event were obtained to aid in the investigation.
