V1 was online in 2025 and met "Mia Mueller" who he befriended. V1 and S1 spoke about investing in gold which caused V1 to trust S1. V1 made an initial investment of $1,000. V1 watched a significant increase in the investment. Over time, V1 became more trusting of S1 who eventually got V1 to deposit a significant amount of additional money in Bitcoin. The invested funds were later wiped out of the account. V1 was able to provide the transaction dates and supporting documents. FCU was notified of the incident.

V1 broke up with her boyfriend S1 at the end of March and moved out of their shared residence at the LOI. Her vehicle (2008 Saturn Vue) was not drivable and was left at the scene. When she returned on May 1st to retrieve items from the vehicle she found it vandalized. All the windows were smashed, and the paint was heavily keyed ($2000 in damage). Case active.

V1 and S1 reside together and arrived at the LOI in the same vehicle. After an argument with S1, V1 briefly left the LOI. When she returned, S1 was gone and personal items (clothing and shoes of little resale value) belonging to her were missing from the vehicle they arrived in together. W1 advised that S1 admitted to taking the items and hiding them. V1 was escorted to the residence in order to located the items. Neither the items nor S1 were at the house upon the arrival of law enforcement. Case active.
