D1 became upset with V1 and struck him. V1 restrained D1 to prevent her from continuing to be violent. D1 claimed that V1 attacked her. The incident was captured on cell phone camera corroborating V1's account of events. W1 came forward and confirmed that D1 attacked V1. D1 was determined to be the primary aggressor and placed under arrest for DV simple battery.

D3N and D1N Deputies assisted the Florida Highway Patrol with scene management and searching for a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run Traffic Homicide investigation which resulted in contacting the suspect. FHP aware. D3N COC notified.

V1 advised his custom 1932 black Ford Model B, PA tag: MHR4789, valued at $40K, with exposed engine and red/white tires, was stolen from the parking lot at the LOI during the reported timelapse. V1 stated he had received permission from the owner of the LOI to park the vehicle there overnight and still has the vehicle's key. No physical evidence was observed, no camera footage, the vehicle was not entered into the TOW file, and a check of LPR cameras yielded no captures. The vehicle was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen.

V1 and D1 are both inmates at the Volusia County Branch Jail. V1 and D1 entered into an argument over the use of a VCBJ issued tablet for the cell block. The argument culminated with D1 pushing V1 into an air vent in the block causing visible injury. The altercation was witnessed by another prisoner. D1 was charged with the appropriate offense and remains in-custody at the Jail.

V1 and D1 share a child in common and were previously married, However; still live together as a family unit.

At approximately 1500 hours, D1 was highly intoxicated, as is common for him, and became verbally aggressive, making general threats to harm V1 and W1. D1 did not make any threatening gestures and was only yelling belligerently while walking around the downstairs area, breaking his own belongings.

D1 then became physical with V1 by grabbing a spool of flux wire (approximately 2 lbs) used for soldering and striking V1 in the head with it. V1 and W1 gathered the animals and left the residence, going to W1's boyfriend's house in Palm Coast. When they returned at approximately 1900 hours, D1 was still intoxicated and again became aggressive. V1 and W1 then left the residence and contacted 911.

V1 stated she did not have any injuries such as a knot or cut no complaints of soreness. V1 declined medical attention

D1 was charged with Felony battery domestic violence due to his prior battery convictions.
