Approximately 4 days ago S1 advised that he was cleaning his new Glock 43x in the kitchen when he accidentally discharged it into the countertop. V1 sustained injuries to her lower abdomen from fragments. V1 thought it was only a burn, and did not report the incident to LEO or seek treatment. On 11/16/2025, the couple, at S1's insistence, went to Med Fast Urgent Care at 1000 S Ridgewood Av, Edgewater. Medical staff discovered a bullet fragment V1's abdomen. Watch Commander and On Call Detectives notified.

D1 (who was on her own property) did not like that V1 was walking her (V1's) dog and it (the dog) did not have a leash on.  V1's dog allegedly began to agitate D1's dog, so D1 decided to throw coffee (not hot) on V1's dog.  Then, D1 decided that was not enough and threw some coffee on V1 (which also made contact with V1's 1 year old child).  No person (or animal) sustained any serious injury.  D1 was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ. Also, D1 is in the US illegally, so the proper notifications were made and actions taken.
