***DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / CBA***

V1 and D1 have a child in common.  While seated in V1's vehicle and attempting to leave the LOI, D1 (who was standing outside of the car) unlawfully reached inside of the vehicle, put it in park, and then removed the keys from the ignition.  Deputies arrived on scene and D1 would later resist arrest and also batter two deputies.  D1 was arrested for all applicable offenses and taken to VCBJ.

V1 woke up to the sound of water on his window AC unit and went outside to see what was going on. While V1, W1 and W2 were outside they observed D1 with a water hose at the back fence spraying water over it onto their tent (which someone was sleeping in) and their bedroom window. A verbal argument ensued after W1 told her to stop. V1 began to record D1 while she continued to soak the belongings in tent after being asked to stop. D1 then deliberately rerouted the hose and sprayed D1 in the face and cell phone soaking his body. The outside temperature was 37 degrees. V1 wished to pursue charges for the battery. D1 was placed under arrest for simple battery and taken to VCBJ.

T/L- 12/15/2025.  V1 owns the LOI (which is a piece of agricultural farmland with a few enclosed structures on it).  On 12/15/2025, V1 advised an unknown suspect had unlawfully entered one of the structures and stole some snake boots.  V1 did not report this incident to law enforcement at the time it occurred.  On 12/30/2025, a surveillance camera at the LOI was triggered, which led to the identification of D1 being a person of interest.  Deputies are familiar with D1 and responded to his (D1's) last known location.  Deputies were able to locate V1's stolen boots and D1 admitted to committing the burglary on 12/15/2025.
