V1 lives out of state and was advised by her lawn care guy, R1, her John Deere Utility Gator and a Stihl Chainsaw, total value of $2580, was missing from her carport. R1 advised the stolen items were last seen on 7/13 at approximately 1200 hours. A neighbor observed an unknown male on the property during the timeframe and observed him make entry to the shed. Upon further inspection, the shed showed signs of forced entry as if it were kicked in. The scene was processed and a neighborhood canvas was conducted. The Gator was entered into FCIC/NCIC as stolen. Case status: Active

V1 and D1 are in a dating situation and were drinking alcohol together. Unprovoked, D1 attacked V1, kicking and punching him in the face, abdomen, and groin causing severe injuries. V1 was left lying on the ground in front of the residence and D1 retreated into the residence to hide. After multiple verbal announcements, deputies entered the residence and located D1 hiding behind the sofa. V1 was transported to Halifax hospital for additional medical treatment. D1 was arrested for DV-battery on person 65 or older and resisting w/o violence. A DV lethality assessment was completed.

V1 and D1 are boyfriend/girlfriend and were in an argument. D1 became upset, spit in V1's face, and pushed her causing her to fall to the ground. D1 then fled the residence in V1's vehicle. D1 was later contacted at his mother's residence. D1 admitted to pushing V1 but claimed it was in self-defense. D1 was arrested for simple battery-DV. A DV lethality assessment was completed and V1 was advised she is in a potentially lethal situation.

*** DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ***

V1 and S1 are legally married, have children in common, and are currently separated. V1 arrived at the location of incident to spend the night when S1 unexpectedly appeared, entered her vehicle, and struck her in the head, causing visible swelling. S1 then forcibly took V1's phone as she attempted to call 911. As V1 attempted to leave in her vehicle, S1 threw a mattress into the roadway to block her path. V1 struck the mattress with her vehicle but was still able to flee the scene and subsequently contact law enforcement. Efforts to locate S1 were met with negative results. Case active.
