V1 is a transient who resides in a camp located in the woods East of 1205 Findley St. New Smyrna Fire made contact with him on 6/13 in reference to abdominal pain. V1 refused transport. V1 was found deceased in his tent by W1 and W2 (transients who also live in the camp) who called 911. No sign of foul play or drug use. V1 was known to be an alcoholic. On call ISS and Crime Scene arrived, and took over the investigation.

V1 and D1 are boyfriend/boyfriend, currently residing together as a family unit.  A verbal altercation within the couple's vehicle turned physical when D1 punched V1 in the chest multiple times against his (V1's) will.  V1 subsequently pulled over to the LOI and contacted LEOs.  D1 was arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.

T/L- 06/11/2026.  D1 used to be V1's stepson, and the two (2) had previously resided together as a family unit.  D1 was currently living at the LOI as a gratuitous guest (prior to that he bounced around from living in his (D1's) car and rehab facilities).  D1 tried to coax V1 into an argument about money, which resulted in V1 telling D1 to leave the LOI.  D1 then moves closer to V1, bumping him (V1) with his (D1's) body.  D1 was subsequently arrested for the applicable offense and taken to VCBJ.
